Free Lunch for all students the rest of the year

ANDREWS, Texas – Starting on Monday, Nov. 2, Andrews ISD will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students for the rest of the school year thanks to funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Meals are available for any children, 0-18 years old, in the community for no cost. Any enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old are also eligible for free meals.

Those students currently attending in-person class do not need to do anything to start receiving free meals. There will still be a charge for second meals, snack bar food and a la carte items.

Parents that would like to pick up meals for their children who are not enrolled in the district may pick them up every weekday between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. in the Underwood Elementary drive thru.

For more information on free meals, please contact AISD Child Nutrition Director Pam Yocham at 432-523-3640 ext. 1810
